Who processes your data

We are an association of two people. There is no data protection officer: write to the address above and we will answer ourselves.

What we keep when you rent or buy a film

• Your email address, if you give one. It is optional, and is used only to send you your link.
• The language you were browsing in, so that we write to you in it.
• The amount, currency and film concerned.
• The Stripe transaction identifiers, which let us find a payment again and refund it.
• The dates: purchase, first viewing, expiry.
• The token that forms your access link.

We never see any card details. They are entered on Stripe's pages and never pass through this site.

On what basis

Performance of the contract, for all of the above: without this data there is no link, no duration and no possible refund. Keeping proof of payment also answers an accounting obligation.

For how long

24 months after the access expires, after which the record is deleted. Accounting documents relating to payments are kept for seven years, as Belgian law requires.

What the server logs

Like any web server, ours logs the requests it receives: IP address, date, page requested, browser. These logs serve diagnosis and security — spotting an abnormal access, understanding a failure — and are erased after thirty days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the site.

Cookies and audience measurement

The site sets no advertising cookie and follows nobody from one site to another. A technical cookie may be used to remember the chosen language.

A legacy audience-measurement tag remains on some pages. The generation of the service it belongs to has been discontinued by its publisher: it no longer reports any statistics. Its removal is under way.

Who your data is passed to

• Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland), for payment. Stripe is responsible for its own processing; its terms are available on its site.
• OVH SAS, which hosts the server without accessing the data.
• Google, whose mail service carries the email containing your link, when you ask for one.

We do not sell, rent or exchange any data. No automated decision is taken about you, and we build no profile.

Your rights

You may request access to your data, its correction, its erasure, the restriction of its processing, or object to that processing. You may also ask for a usable copy of it.

One address for all of this: lescarabeeasbl@gmail.com. We answer within a month. Note that erasing your record also removes your access to the film.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may refer the matter to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels (autoriteprotectiondonnees.be).

Changes

Any change to this policy will be published on this page, with the date it takes effect.
